Friends of Castlewood Canyon State Park hosts various events throughout the year to engage and entertain our community as well as raise funds for the betterment of the Canyon. We also assist in the planning and organization of many well-attended Park sponsored events.

Live Concert with Mark Cormican
Sunday, June 23, 6 p.m.

Enjoy an evening concert with Mark Cormican performing nostalgic John Denver tribute pieces and his own original songs as well as enjoying the beautiful views and sunset. Concert to be held at the Pikes Peak Amphitheater.

Haunted Trails 
October 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

 Castlewood will get a little spooky in anticipation of Halloween! Bring the kids.   Bring your friends.  Wear a costume.   Have some scary fun!

Castlewood Dam Ruins

Dam Day
 August  3, 2024, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

On Jan.1, Castlewood Canyon State Park  invites you to celebrate the new year.

First Day Hikes offer a chance to start the new year off on the right foot by exercising in nature. Guided hikes, short or long.  And then we serve soup,  Always have a great time, no matter what the weather.
