Friends of Castlewood Canyon State Park hosts various events throughout the year to engage and entertain our community as well as raise funds for the betterment of the Canyon. We also assist in the planning and organization of many well-attended Park sponsored events.

Both Runs are Timed

Both courses are non-certified for length:

5K - Short at approx. 3.0 Miles

10K - Long at approx. 6.5 Miles

Dam Day
 August  2023  

Dam Day is a great way to learn about the 1933 Dam failure and enjoy a Dam good lunch (startng at 11:30).  History, kids games, food, hikes, nature - what could be better.   Here's some fun info:

Exact Fri & Sat dates will be announced in 2022.   Castlewood will get a little spooky in anticipation of Halloween! Bring the kids.   Bring your friends.  Wear a costume.   Have some scary fun!
